From The Youngest:
My First Seedling

This sunflower will be known as John Lennon, for its remarkable likeness to John Lennon's self portrait.
I can almost feel him with me now.
Imagine....reincarnation

Oh, and if you ever wanted to know what John felt about his childhood, listen here. It's better after a few beers. Shit gets heavy.
Fuck, now I gotta listen to the whole album.
Cookie!
I don't believe...in BUDDHA!

I Used To Live in Minneapolis
What the fuck was I thinking back then?

My Maomart charcoal grill came yesterday, so I fired up some grilled chicken for dinner tonight...with fresh basil from my garden. Somewhere in the country, snow is beginning to fall and marijuana is still illegal.

From The Youngest:
The Garden Project, Part II
From seed, I'm trying to grow nicotiana alata, new marigold, lavender, heliotrope, mountain phlox, velvet queen sunflowers, pinup flame begonia, painted daisies, baby blue eye wildflowers, jubilee tomatoes, marglobe tomatoes, and bradley tomatoes.
From seedlings, I'm trying to grow green bell peppers, red bell peppers, basil, jalapenos, early girl tomatoes, and two avocado trees that were growing from pits that U had buried by the patio.
Now with fewer logs, rock sculpture.

Germinated sunflower seeds.

Repurposed kitty litter box and solo cups.

From Mezz0:
California vs Minnesota
This winter, southern California experienced a month of Spring/Summer temperatures. It was a beautiful gift bestowed upon us by Mother Nature. During this period of sunshine and warmth, I was driving home from Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and just so happening to be listening to a soft rock radio station. The announcer, female, had that soft rock voice. You know the voice. Soft. Calm. Melodic. Relaxing. After Extreme's "More Than Words" finished playing, she came on the radio and said:
The weather tonight is cool over most of the country, and as low as -4 degrees in Minneapolis. And then her voice changed from melodic to tinged with disgust. -4! Can you believe that? She snorted, and then regained her composure. But it's 67 degrees here, and a beautiful night in southern California.
Shortly after, I asked TNT to send me pictures of what his office complex looked like so we could compare.

In California
Your neighbors just might hire a mariachi band to play in their backyard.
La Primera tried to convince me that this was something called a "banda" (which is ridiculous). I know mariachis when I hear them. Also, No Hay Banda!
